The Energy Efficiency for Small Business Program (EESBP) that was run and funded by the Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) has officially ended. EMS was proud to be a founding part of the program by assisting over 600 businesses covering from the South Coast through our local Hunter Region, and to the far North West of NSW.
EMS was a part of this program since its inception as principal consultants, and developed the auditing tool in conjunction with OEH. Since the end of the program, EMS has been recognised by OEH for its outstanding contribution to the EESBP with the lowest cost per retrofit.
We would like to thank all those involved in making this program so worthwhile. It has meant that we have seen significant change in small businesses and their energy efficiency- which is creating a better future.
So, what’s next? We are proud to announce that we are working with OEH on the Resource Efficiency for Small Business Program. This program is the extension of the Energy Efficiency for Small Business Program and has incorporated water and waste into the assessing component- targeting businesses with an annual electricity spend of $50,000 – $100,000.
At this stage, the program is in its pilot phase and we hope to bring you news of its success as it develops.
